IOLTA Accounts

Law firms that administer client funds can take advantage of our Interest on Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA). Interest generated from funds is forwarded to the Massachusetts IOLTA Committee to support civil legal services and justice programs for those who would normally be unable to afford them. As an approved IOLTA provider, Bank of Canton charges no fees and matches the rate of our highest yielding, tiered-rate deposit product.

Transaction Account Guarantee Program: Bank of Canton has elected to participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. Please note that Municipal N.O.W. Accounts do not meet the FDIC definition of a "non-interest bearing account", and, as such, are not included in the Transaction Account Guarantee Program.
