The Grinch (2018) – December 7, 1:30pm

We’re opening our 250-seat auditorium for a free matinee showing of The Grinch (2018) on Saturday, December 7, at 1:30pm. Guests will be treated to popcorn, refreshments and a special preshow visit from Santa from 12:30-1:30pm! Reservations are required. The event is free & open to the public. See our Grinch event listing for complete details.

In lieu of paying for tickets, we kindly ask all guests to please bring one or more winter accessories (newly purchased or handmade mittens, gloves, hats or scarves) for our Mitten Tree Collection Drive!

Craft Contest – November 25 – December 10

We’re holding a craft contest for youths age 3-14, with twelve cash prizes totaling $1,000!* This year, we’re looking for mittens: they can be two- or three-dimensional, and made from any non-perishable materials you’d like – fabric, cardboard, construction paper, you name it. They just have to fit inside the mitten outline on the entry form. Submit your mitten by December 10, and you’ll be entered to win!

You can download an official entry form & rules in the “Mitten Craft Contest Forms” box, or pick them up at your nearest branch.

Then on December 19, after our branch guests and Facebook visitors have picked their favorites, we’ll name two Grand Prize winners and eight runners-up – plus two additional winners as voted exclusively by Facebook users!

Holiday Party – December 24

Visit our 557 Washington Street branch in Canton on Tuesday, 12/24, between 9:30am and 1:30pm for pictures with Santa (10:00-12:00), carols with Dolly, tasty treats, and choral singing!

Mitten Tree Collection Drive – Through December 31

We’re aiming to collect 400 winter accessories this December, to decorate our branches’ Mitten Trees! Every branch has a tree and a designated charity that will receive the donated items. It’s a great tradition and a festive way to help families in need over the holidays.
